Welcome to Gas House Lane Surgery

Due to the floods in September Gas House Lane surgery is now operating from the Cottage Hospital in Morpeth.

The practice would like to thank everybody that has made this possible. Thank you for sticking with us over the past few months. We are now fully functional and in some ways the Cottage Hospital is a more pleasant environment than Gas House Lane - particularly the waiting room!

Parking: We apologise for the current problems regarding Car Parking arrangements at the Cottage Hospital.  We realise that this is a frustration for patients at the present time.  Building work on the site has been the cause of much of the problem due to additional work vans - this work is soon to be finished.  In addition, we have been successful in obtaining planning permission to extend the car park at the front of the hospital by 19 spaces and work on this will commence soon.  Thank you all for your continued support and patience during this time.

Established at the turn of the century, we are the smallest practice in Morpeth, our aim being to combine a high standard of medical care with a friendly and personal service.  Disabled access to the surgery is via the main hospital entrance (automated door entry system).  Please inform a member of staff if you have problems accessing our services and we will do everything we can to improve the situation. 

If you do not have transport and travelling by bus is difficult for you, we have arranged a free community transport service to be provided by the Wansbeck Accessible Transport Scheme.  Places on the WATBUS must be booked through the surgery when you make your appointment and 24 hours notice would normally be needed.  Please contact the surgery for further details.  We would like to thank Northumberland Care Trust for their continued support with this venture. 

The surgery is open 8.00 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday.  Routine appointments are available during the hours listed below. To see a doctor or nurse please telephone us or come into the surgery to book an appointment. For those patients registered with EMIS Access you can book GP appointments from your computer at home or at work www.patient.co.uk.
